Greetings in Jesus’ Name!

Last month I wrote about Jews removing Jews from the Gaza strip, primarily Gush Katif. And then you watched the process take place before your eyes on national television news stations. At this writing the “disengagement” has been completed and the last Jew was removed from Gaza on August 22.

Any Bible scholar knows that Gaza and the West Bank is land that was given by God to the Jewish people. If any group of people should have been removed from this area it should have been the “Palestinian” people. Artifacts have been found in Gaza that prove Jewish people lived there more than 3,000 years ago during the reigns of King David and King Solomon. A three-thousand-year history is quite a substantial claim to a piece of real estate!

However, in spite of these facts, decisions were made in Washington, D. C. and in Jerusalem to forcefully remove the Jewish settlers from Gaza. The secular thinking was that this would help the “peace” process, and the suicide bombings would cease in Israel. How quickly this pipe dream has been derailed! The last Jew was scarcely out of Gaza when Palestinian terrorists resumed the bombing in Israel.

Terrorists think that the disengagement was a sign of weakness on the part of Israel and the United States. Instead of de-fusing the situation it has only exacerbated it and motivated the terrorists to strike harder and more often.

The day after the last Jew was forcefully removed from Gush Katif (August 22) a tropical storm formed near the Bahamas. Strangely, most tropical storms form off the coast of West Africa, but this one emerged near our shores, almost out of nowhere August 23!!!

Another striking parallel: We have all heard of the “West Bank” in Israel. Fox News repeatedly referred to the “West Bank” in New Orleans, also.

Hurricanes are named with letters in alphabetical order, man woman, man woman, etc. So when this tropical storm grew into a hurricane it needed to begin with the letter “K”. The name “Katrina” was chosen. The Lord enlightened my mind this very morning and suddenly “Katif” and “Katrina” took on new meaning!

Yes. There is a definite relationship between what we do to Israel and what takes place here in the United States. Have we ever seen oil prices skyrocket like we have since the middle of August? Have we ever witnessed the destruction of an entire U.S. city by a hurricane?

There is also a definite relationship between what takes place in Israel and what happens to the worldwide church. Suicide bombers in Israel equate to demons invading the church and wreaking havoc in personal lives. Satan is the same whether he is in Israel, Iraq, or the United States: he comes to rob, steal, and destroy.

8,000 Jews were forcefully removed from their homes in Gaza where they had lived for 30 years, and where their ancestors had lived for 3,000 years. Now more than 500,000 Americans have been forcefully removed from their homes by Katrina a few days later. If you think this is merely a coincidence, then you have your head buried in the sand.

God is speaking, and he is speaking loud and clear!

It is time to open our eyes and really see. Watching the news and understanding the news events are two entirely different things.

The homosexuals scheduled a huge parade in New Orleans for August 30—“Southern Decadence”. Katrina wiped out the city August 29. The planned “parade” was much more than a parade. The gays were planning to demonstrate openly on the streets every vile act in public. God rained on their parade so the homosexual crowd was not able to “perform” openly in the street. There was not even a street available; it had become a river-cesspool, a vivid picture of God’s opinion of homosexual activity.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has declared that the Jewish settlers in other parts of the West Bank should be forcefully removed also. If Katrina hit our shores because 8,000 Jews were removed from Gaza and Gush Katif, what will take place here if tens of thousands of Jews are forced from their homes and farms in Israel? It is hard to imagine what fury will be unleashed on our nation.

Biblical Significance

Mark Biltz, Messianic pastor of El Shaddai Ministries of Bonny Lake, Washington, said to keep an eye on August 14-15. It was the 9th of Av on the Jewish calendar. It was on this day that the ten spies brought the bad report regarding the promised land of Israel. The Jews believe God has always judged them on that day because of the bad report. This year’s 9th of Av also happened to be just before the Sharon government was scheduled to begin uprooting Jews from Gaza. The actual disengagement date was originally planned for this time period but was moved forward to August 17 to avoid the connection to the 9th of Av.

The first temple in Jerusalem was destroyed on the 9th of Av in 587 BC; the second temple was destroyed on the 9th of Av in 70 A.D.; the Spanish Inquisition began on the 9th of Av in 1492; and World War I began on the 9th of Av.

To repair one of the levees holding back Lake Pontchartrain, officials late Tuesday dropped 3,000-pound sandbags from helicopters and hauled dozens of 15-foot concrete barriers into the breach. Maj. Gen. Don Riley of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said officials also had a more audacious plan: finding a barge to plug the 500-foot hole.

Riley said it could take close to a month to get the water out of the city. If the water rises a few feet higher, it could also wipe out the water system for the whole city, said New Orleans' homeland security chief, Terry Ebbert.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was considering putting people on cruise ships, in tent cities, mobile home parks, and so-called floating dormitories - boats the agency uses to house its own employees.

"I can only imagine that this is what Hiroshima looked like 60 years ago," said Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour after touring the destruction by air Tuesday.

Louisiana’s Gov. Kathleen Blanco asked residents to spend Wednesday in prayer.

(Oh? Now it is politically correct to pray, is it?)

Emergency medical teams from across the country were sent into the region and President Bush cut short his Texas vacation Tuesday to return to Washington to focus on the storm damage.

Federal Emergency Management Agency director Mike Brown warned that structural damage to homes, diseases from animal carcasses and chemicals in floodwaters made it unsafe for residents to come home anytime soon. The sweltering city of 480,000 had no drinkable water, and the electricity could be out for weeks.

* Recent comments over the past hours on the FOX NEWS Channel eerily parallel what has just happened in Gaza. One commentator referred to the inhabitants of New Orleans and said, "It must be an emotional experience to walk away from their houses and not know if they will be able to live in them again." That is exactly what has transpired here this past week for Gaza's Jewish population.

* Another commentator said that most of all the wooden structures in New Orleans will be destroyed. Nearly all of the structures in Gaza's Jewish communities and farms have been destroyed.

· Ivor Van Heeden, deputy director of Louisiana State University's Hurricane Center, recently said on FOX that there is a high probability that the hurricane will loosen many of the coffins in New Orleans and that corpses will be loosened and moved from their resting places. One of the three top items on Israel's news tonight was the forced removal of Jewish graves from the Gaza Strip and the transportation of the corpses for reburial in other parts of Israel.

· The homosexuals planned a huge “Southern Decadence” parade for August 30. Katrina wiped out the city August 29, one day before the parade was to take place. The “parade” was planned to be much more than a normal parade. The “gays” were planning to perform every vile sexual act on the public streets. Needless to say, now those streets are a cesspool!

* Whereas Gaza was placed under a state of emergency as its 8,000 residents were evacuated, New Orleans was given orders for a mandatory evacuation of nearly 500,000 people.

· Whereas many Israeli Jews from Gaza are in temporary refugee camps and tent cities, there is talk of up to one million refugees needing to be settled in temporary camps in the Louisiana and Mississippi area.

They [the watchmen] shall see an exact agreement and correspondence
between the prophecy and the event, the promise and the performance;
they shall see how they look one upon another eye to eye, and be satisfied
that the same God spoke the one and did the other.

In Luke 21 Jesus was asked what signs would forecast the last days. Here is what he said:

“ Don’t be terrified when you hear about wars and commotions. There will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. Upon the earth there will be distress of nations, with perplexity. The sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Watch and pray always!”

The waves of death surrounded me; the floods of destruction swept over me. 2 Sam. 22:5

He alone has spread out the heavens and marches on the waves of the sea. Job 9:8

Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words? Brace yourself, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them. Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much. Do you know how its dimensions were determined and who did the surveying? What supports its foundations, and who laid its cornerstone as the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy? Who defined the boundaries of the sea as it burst from the womb, and as I clothed it with clouds and thick darkness? For I locked it behind barred gates, limiting its shores. I said, Thus far and no farther will you come. Here your proud waves must stop. Job 38:2-11

He spoke and the winds rose, stirring up the waves. Their ships were tossed to the heavens and sank again to the depths; the sailors cringed in terror. They reeled and staggered like drunkards and were at their wits’ end. Psalm 107: 25-27

Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling like waves. Then you would have become as numerous as the sands along the seashore—too many to count! There would have been no need for your destruction. Is. 48:18-19

For I am the Lord, who stirs up the sea, causing its waves to roar. My name is the Lord Almighty. Is. 51:18

Listen, you foolish and senseless people—who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear. Do you have no respect for me? Why do you not tremble in my presence? I, the Lord, am the one who defines the ocean’s sandy shoreline, an everlasting boundary that waters cannot cross. The waves may toss and roar, but they can never pass the bounds I set. But my people have stubborn and rebellious hearts. They have turned against me and have chosen to practice idolatry. They do not say from the heart, Let us live in awe of the Lord our God, for he gives us rain each spring and fall, assuring us of plentiful harvests. Your wickedness has deprived you of these wonderful blessings. Your sin has robbed you of all these good things. Among my people are wicked men who lie in wait for victims like a hunter hiding in a blind. They are continually setting traps for other people. Like a cage filled with birds, their homes are filled with evil plots. And the result? Now they are great and rich. They are well fed and well groomed, and there is no limit to their wicked deeds. They refuse justice to orphans and deny the rights of the poor. Should I not punish them for this? Asks the Lord. Should I not avenge myself against a nation such as this? A horrible and shocking thing has happened in this land—the prophets give false prophecies, and the priests rule with an iron hand. And worse yet, my people like it that way! But what will you do when the end comes? Jeremiah 5:21-31

It is the Lord who provides the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night. It is he who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the Lord Almighty, and this is what he says: I am as likely to reject my people Israel as I am to do away with the laws of nature! Just as the havens cannot be measured and the foundation of the earth cannot be explored, so I will not consider casting Israel away forever for their sins. I, the Lord, have spoken. Jeremiah 31:35-37

The sea has risen over Babylon; she is covered by its waves. Her cities now lie in ruins; she is a dry wilderness where no one lives or even passes by. Jeremiah 51:42

Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am your enemy, O Tyre, and I will bring many nations against you, like the waves of the sea crashing against your shoreline. Ezekiel 26:3

You threw me into the ocean depths, and I sank down to the hart of the sea. I was buried beneath your wild and stormy waves. Jonah 2:3

1. October 30, 1991: The Perfect Storm - As President George
H. W. Bush is opening the Madrid (Spain) Conference to consider
"land for peace" in Israel's Middle East role, the "perfect storm"
develops in the North Atlantic, creating the largest waves ever
recorded in that region. The storm travels 1000 miles from "east to
west" instead of the normal "west to east" pattern and crashes into
the New England Coast. Thirty-five foot waves crash into the
Kennebunkport home of President Bush.

2. August 23, 1992: Hurricane Andrew - When the Madrid Conference
moves to Washington DC and the peace talks resume, Hurricane
Andrew, the worst natural disaster ever to hit America, comes ashore
and produces an estimated $30 billion in damage and leaving 180,000
homeless in Florida.

3. January 16, 1994: Northridge Earthquake - President Bill Clinton
meets with Syria's President Hafez el-Assad in Geneva. They talk
about a peace agreement with Israel that includes giving up the Golan
Heights. Within 24 hours, a powerful 6.9 earthquake rocks Southern
California. This quake, centered in Northridge, becomes the second
most destructive natural disaster to hit the United States, behind
Hurricane Andrew.

4. January 21, 1998: Lewinsky Scandal - Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu meets with President Clinton at the White House
and is coldly received. Clinton and Secretary of State Madeleine
Albright refuse to have lunch with him. Shortly afterwards on that day,
the Monica Lewinsky scandal breaks into the mass media and begins
to occupy a major portion of Clinton's time.

5. September 28, 1998: Hurricane George - As Secretary of State
Albright works on the final details of an agreement in which Israel
would give up 13 percent of Yesha (Judah and Samaria), Hurricane
George slams into the United States Gulf Coast with 110 mph winds
and gusts up to 175 mph. The hurricane hits the coast and stalled.
On September 28, Clinton meets with Yasser Arafat and Netanyahu
at the White House to finalize this land deal. Later, Arafat addresses
the United Nations about declaring an independent Palestinian state
by May 1999, as Hurricane George pounds the Gulf Coast, causing
$1 billion in damage. At the exact time that Arafat departs the
country, the storm begins to dissipate.

6. October 15-22, 1998: Texas Flooded - On October 15, 1998,
Arafat and Netanyahu meet at the Wye River Plantation in Maryland.
The talks are scheduled to last five days with the focus on Israel
giving up 13 percent of Yesha. The talks are extended and conclude
on October 23. On October 17, awesome rains and tornadoes hit
southern Texas. The San Antonio area is deluged with rain. The rain
and flooding in Texas continue until October 22 and then subside.
The floods ravage 25 percent of Texas and leave over one
billion dollars in damage. On October 21, Clinton declares this
section of Texas a major disaster area.

7. November 30, 1998: Market Capitalization Evaporates - Arafat
comes to Washington again to meet with President Clinton to raise
money for a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as the capital. A total
of 42 other nations were represented in Washington. All the nations
agreed to give Arafat $3 billion in aid. Clinton promised $400 million,
and the European nations $1.7 billion. On the same day, the Dow
Jones average drops 216 points, and on December 1, the European
Market had its third worst day in history. Hundreds of billions of
market capitalization were wiped out in the U.S. and Europe.

8. December 12, 1998: Clinton is Impeached - As Clinton lands in the
Palestinian-controlled section of Israel to discuss the "land for peace"
process, the House of Representatives votes four articles of
impeachment against him.

9. May 3, 1999: The Powerful Super Tornado - On the day that
Yasser Arafat is scheduled to declare a Palestinian state with
Jerusalem as the capital, the most powerful tornado storm system
ever to hit the United States sweeps across Oklahoma and Kansas.
The winds are clocked at 316 mph the fastest wind speed ever
recorded. The declaration is postponed to December 1999 at the
request of President Clinton, whose letter to Arafat encourages him
in his "aspirations for his own land." He also writes that the
Palestinians have a right to "determine their own future on their own
land" and that they deserve to "live free, today, tomorrow and forever."

10. Week of October 11: Hurricane, Earthquake and Dow Collapse -
As Jewish settlers in 15 West Bank (Israel) settlements are evicted
from the covenant land in Israel, the Dow-Jones financial averages lose
5.7 percent in the worst week since October 1989. On October 15 the
Dow lost 266 points, and a hurricane slams into North Carolina. On the
next morning, October 16, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake rocks the
southwest in the fifth most powerful earthquake in 20th Century. The
earthquake was centered in the California desert and did little damage
but was felt in three states.
